BDM 'overseas' sidecap?

I was googling for a better picture of the BDM winter hat for another thread and this turned up on the search. I've never seen one of these and for the life of me I can't find anything in my books etc. Does anyone have any more info?

IMO a regular HJ cap but with a BDM label (like Teufelsmütze), an anomaly in fact.

Yes, between RZM labels it's sometimes funny, especially with shorts (Zwirnköper/Genuakord/Kordhose/...)

well , as i found it and saw the misfit in discution here, I didn't even bother to ask for the prize. but knowing the guy (alway in ciney fair) he's not cheap!
