...and the last Pic....
In "Bekleidung und Ausrüstung der HJ" from January 15, 1934 it is noted the visor
(Schirm mit Grundstoff überzogen) should be cloth covered. Leaders did wear a black
lacquered leather visor.
So, what has a brown visor to do with this cap?

Hello
That's why I know .... the visor is black I can not explain ... but the user Rail House has in its collection also such a brown hat with visor .... perhaps he can help solve the question .....

I just quoted as it was described in the official regulation. Nothing more then that.
These types of caps were already being faked extensively in the early seventies with
cloth, as well as leather visors in black and the wrong color, brown with all kinds of
piping. I saw the first one sold in 1972 at Nürnberg by a well-known dealer from those
days. This is now about 40 years ago.
Was there ever a tag sewn into your cap? Should be!
What was written in the earlier mentioned January 1934 regulation was also noted in
the "Verordnungsblatt der Reichsjugendführung (HJ)" from September 8, 1933. The
enlisted ranks had to wear a visored cap with a cloth covered visor (Schirm mit Khakistoff
überzogen); leaders did wear a visor from black leather (schwarz lackiertem Kalblack-
Volleder). Your're from Westfalen, then you can read well the German. Nothing in the
regulation mentions brown. I just quote again what is mentioned in the announcement.
In the "Verordnungsblatt" from September 1, 1934 - so one year later - there was made
a correction to the 1933-regulation: Betrifft HJ-Mützen mit Lederschirm. All members from
technical units as Motorsportscharen, Luftsportscharen and drivers for official cars, had to
wear a visored cap with a black leathered visor (schwarzem Lederschirm). The black visor
must have been introduced for them as they often "worked" with grease and got dirt on
their hands. The black visor was a great solution for those kids!
.... Do you mean that my hat is shown a copy?

Hi
Can anyone tell me whether the two M 33 Andre Hüsken the caps are original offer here? Shown is also coming from my hat to him by
Hello,
I haven't said it is a copy, but you should keep in mind it is possible!
I did ask you if there was ever a tag sewn into the cap. The caps, that I owned
when I still did collect them, all had a tag inside. I owned a red piped, yellow
piped, black piped and green piped Oberbann-colors.
Cap Two....
My post was related to the first show cap with brown leather visor.
I had not seen the ones with cloth covered visor. Can't tell from a photograph.
You have to feel them in the hand, but again: is there any tag sewn into the
inner of the cap. When none is can you see there was one. But again a tag
is not always a good one too, as they are faked for many years. A simple
ink stamp can add everybody! Maybe others have opinions. Wait for their
answers.
Hüsken I know very well (see him again in two weeks) and I have trusted
him with the deals we made.
