Hello,
I'm new here and wanted to ask you something specialists they can say to these Hitler Youth leader raincoat. I have another found on the Internet, but without a label. Original it is definitely.
Regards Robert

Hello Robert and wellcome to the HJ Forum,

This coat is of great rarity. This is the first time I see a HJ leader raincoat in this condition.
I love the RZM tag. I think the current value of this coat is difficult to estimate because there is no reference elsewhere.
For information, a simple HJ raincoat with RZM tag is worth approximately 300 €.

Best Regards

Eric

Congrats on the leader raincoat Robert. Great find.

I get a bit confused with these because there is your type and there is also this type being worn by a Bannführer (pic belongs to joecool) which is clearly rubberised and thinner?:

His is the later type as far as I know but when was your model of the higher leaders' raincoat introduced Robert (or anyone)?

The type worn by the Bannführer must be the one introduced in 1937:

Here is a photo from ebay a few years ago that shows a thicker looking raincoat . It looks to be the same pattern as yours .

So, Emil Klein and the Bannführer in the pic I posted are wearing the 1937 pattern "wet look" raincoat and Schirach, Lauterbacher are wearing the version shown by Joecool and Robert which is presumably the first version? I've seen Robert's type of raincoat on an old post on Waf and the owner described it as a HJ leader raincoat for the summer which is odd. Rain is rain isn't it?
