Hallo and greetings from hamburg...
Just received theese BDM dress.

Never seen a barett in real before and i have some doubts about it. Has anyone a barett with such a rzm patch?

In the pocket was a second leaders lanyard with a flute and a paperlabel.

The skirt looks privately procured or homemade.

What do you think about the dress.

Thank you for the photos. Your beret is totally different from what I expected. I also believe that the RZM label is not genuine. Wait a bit, there will be certainly other opinions.

In my opinion, the Handwerksarbeit RZM label should look like that :

An original Handwerks Arbeit Rzm tag compared to the one posted here . ... I am not an expert on Rzm tags , the one posted may be an earlier style tag , however ; I have doubts .

I have heard, that the beret was only for a short period an official headgear.
My grandaunt Paula was born in 1925.
The foto where she wears the beret must be from 1935/36.

Very interesting thread...
I have no doubts that my headgear is an original new type baskenmütze.

My grandaunt recognized an mistake on the fotos...
the position of the skirt was wrong. Both pockets have to be on the front.

Here is the result... the colour of the skirt ist marine ( darkblue )

The skirt is not as to according RZM-manufacturing regulations, but that may have happened often
due to "homework".
Look at the form of the pocket. Officially they have flaps!!

The easiest BDM uniform item to obtain is the jacket ...originals will cost around $350-$650 ( depending on original sewn insignia , the rzm tag , condition etc ) The shirts are much harder to find ... they will cost around 500 to 850 ... and the hardest item to find are the skirts ( most skirts you might find are the mid wartime pattern missing the pocket flaps , the earlier ones with flaps are hardiest to find .... skirts will cost 750 to 1800 .

PERFECT PHOTO! I love it so mush (dreaming to collect the same one soon)
