Hello,
here are some pictures of my new Marine-HJ blouse.
The Kielerkragen is from the Kriegsmarine and the Halstuch is "homemade".
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Regards
Holzwurm

The collar knot

Hello,

The collar knot is worn as mourning for the dead sailors. In the german navy, the blue line on the knot (featuring the silk scarf as a fiscal property) has to be tied from the lower left to the upper right ("like a saber is drawn") from bearer`s sight. Between 1935 and 1945 the North Sea units tied their knot that way and the Baltic Sea units tied their knot the opposite way, from the lower right to the upper left.

It seems that the austrian Marine-HJ units wore the collar knot the german North Sea units way (and not, this would have been possible, the way of the Imperial and Royal Austro-Hungarian Navy).

Best regards
