Can anybody tell me what this was used for?

Hi - I bought this at the Max show. The dealer told me that it was rare to find this emblem done up in this fashion. Was he bs-ing me? It is approx. 3 7/8" x 2 1/4". Where was it worn on the uniform? Thanks Bill

Hi Bill , these emblems were most commonly worn on the BDM brown/beige climbing jacket . Also worn on sports shirts and ski blouses . Value ... between 20 and 45 dollars .
