this is what wim saris had to say about the strap

Hello Steve,

Very nice early strap from Bann Uelzen in the Nordsee-area, which indeed should have the color green.
Why there is the white piping I have never found any indication for double colors. Too me it seems that
this is a manufacturer's mistake (or intended and planned due to a re-organization).
The color white was not in use at Nordsee at all.
The only thing I can think about is that the Bann from Uelzen was intended to be moved to another
district (Kurmark), but that's only a guess, as white was only in use at Westfalen and Ruhr-Niederrhein.
Maybe a re-organization was intended, but after all it became all too difficult and that's why the color-system
was totally changed in 1936.

This is only my opinion. Maybe there pops up one day a letter or so that explains it. You will have seen
I also have the one or the other strap with double colors (for example 205 and 222). Here the Paderborn one
has white piping and red numbers). Things like this confuse pretty much!

best regards,
wim saris
