    Very nice early "later" style straps Steve. I like them. They look unissued until you show the snaps on the back, well cared for set.

    in order to know, can one tell weather a uniform/strap etc. was washed in those days or later after the war to make them look more 'authentic' to potential buyers?

    i mean, can we see a kind of residu typical for those days? of didn't the washing products used back then leave traces of itselves on the washed goods?

    I sure hope i ask the question i have in mind correctly in this way.

    ONE thing I understand is the phosphates in the modern cleaning soaps make period pieces glow like they are on fire
