Very neat set, Darin. Is that a grey-colored piping around the edge?

It's sort of a dull grey color Douglas.

I guess for youth members, I would have only expected to see blue, pink, or the light red. I did not know that grey was associated with HJ.

These are for HJ assigned to operate anti aircraft guns for the Luftwaffe later during the war. The color is sort of a dull blue grey really, the scans don't show it that well. There were other shoulder strap colors in addition to ones you mentioned. Yellow for signals and marine HJ for example.

I might look for one of those Patrick, or try to trade my unissued Oberbann 3 for one, since I found the worn replacement for it.

Closer inspection reveals that this set has seen some use. The piping is a much lighter blue where it meets the edge of the straps. It's really dingy, makes me think these were worn in close proximity to a smokey flak gun!
