Just arrived today. Early Blue with Red Oval Sigrune. Possibly for the Hessen-Nassau-Sud region while the HJ was subordinate to the SA. I have another that is similar to this one but a little more crude looking. This one has a backing and is woven, the other is embroidered. Thanks to a couple of forum members for setting up the deal on this one. Hope to return the favor to both of them.

Sorry for being an ignorant, but, this type does nothing to be with the 6 types regarding the Oberbann?

Meaning that apart from this 6 types, there were many more depending on the Bann?

Regards

Antonio

This style was used before the Oberbann system. It was in the earliest days when the DJ was subordinate to the SA and used the SA Gau colors, or in some cases the Landesfarben. The Oberbann structure introduced the well known Oberbanns 1 thru 6.
