Hello,
here are pictures of an "Lehrerbildungsanstalt" cufftitle.
Is it a wellknown cufftile or a rare one ?
Thank´s for your opinions.

I always find it interesting that we see factory made cuff titles for the L.B.A. but the straps are all modified from other H.J. straps. It seems the RZM was far behind in authorizing the straps for official use.

Always great to see these cuffbands.
The one from post 1, I have seen once before (I do rate this one very, very rare);
the one from post 4 I have seen twice (is also quite rare). In total I have seen
five or six variations.
A friend of mine owns at least four different ones. Three of them are shown
below with the photo.

I have not ever seen this material being mentioned by the RZM, so I guess they
were made on behalf of school-orders, in agreement with the RJF. Documentation
is very hard to find.

Hi Wim,

There is a mention of the LBA CT in the HJ Verordnungsbuch (Chapter 20 "Schulen und Hochschulen". Page 1956). It references the following orders:

Erlass d. JFdDtR dated 4.11.1942 - III J 22
Amtliches Nachrichtenblatt JFdDtR 16/42 S139.
Reichsbefehl RJF 27/42K dated 12.11.1942 - 333/42

The CT described in the Verordnungsbuch matches the the one at the bottom of your pic i.e. "Lehrerbildungsanstalt (name of LBA)". Those with just "Lehrerbildungsanstalt" must logically be later versions. Perhaps it was simply easier to have a standard CT to avoid unnecessary costs.

As you mentioned, LBA uniform regulations were arranged jointly between the Minister for science and education and the RJF but also with input from the LBA themselves.

This type of cuffband I found amongst some of my HJ-material in 1976.
Lettering and both edges were yellow colored. I sold all my HY stuff many
years later:

All told me in those days such cuffbands never had existed, but we know
better now these days!

Yes, I know Garry, but I said: not in the RZM (as Gefolgschaft mentioned
the RZM). I knew it was mentioned in the book, as I have a copy of that!

I thought it might be helpful for anyone reading the thread to know what was said about the CT in the book as it had not been mentioned on the thread yet.
