Hi Ewan. Unfortunately not. However, maybe I will try to get in touch with the owner.

A better overview. I do not know more about the metallic number affixed on it. Nobody have an explanation ?

Was there maybe more than one NAPOBI and this is school number 6? In an earlier post in the thread a member did mention NAPOBI II

Thanks for your help Trommeller. I may be a beginning of an answer:

Did you know that Ballenstedt was not the only NA.PO.BI ?.
Yes indeed, there were other institutions and these two postcards prove it conclusively. Here the example of Spandau and Wahlstatt.

Here's the history :

before 1933, all the schools were called "Staatliche Erziehungsanstalt."
from 1933: "Nationalpolitische Bildungsanstalt"
from 1934: "Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalt"

As regards Köthen, at first this institution was a high school for boys, then an institute for the training school for future teachers.
When the Nazis came to power, this school was requisitioned for a few years until the works of the school of Ballenstedt are ended.

Köthen = NA.PO.BI Ballenstedt II
Ballenstedt = NPEA Anhalt I

Thank you Eric. That kind of information is always welcome. No have a clue about the metallic number ?
I just noticed that the colors of the cuffband are those of the duchy of Anhalt (red/green/white).

Another nice picture of a student wearing the Napobi Ballenstedt CT.
