How many makers of the diamond-shape Hitler Youth membership badge were there?

Here's a new possible for the list. M1/67 hat badge:

Cheers Michael, added. If there are any on this thread I have missed, pls let me know, really been busy the past few months and not that much time to dedicate to this forum. I do try and log in at least 2-3 times a week, though.
Hope everyones having a good year so far, we have just been hit with a huge amount of snow. Loving it! Winter at last.
 
Only just noticed this today.. In the October 1935 RZM papers, they say, about HJ badges....

Could this be referencing the many HJ badges we find with only GES.GESCH. or with other makers marks that were not allowed to produce them at that time?
At the time of this announcment, the RZM M1/-marking system was well in place... so I wonder exactly what they mean?

Well I know what they mean, my German is fine, but "what they mean" in relationship to exactly what HJ badges were "unvorschriftsmässig and nicht vorgeschrieben" :blink:
Ther latter most likely means selling HJ badges to kids and such who were not HJ members - i.e: had no HJ ausweis.

Good info Jo. I read that as being badges that were invented for the HJ by some manufacturers or perhaps badges that had been seen by the RJF / RZM but not yet approved. Here's something I posted a while back which would possibly fit that scenario:

.... to me that implies only the HJ Membership badge, and not every kind of HJ badge, or patch.
That would also be a lot of work if it implied the RJF was now handeling all HJ "abzeichen" in general. Patches, versions of badges, honour badges, Traditionsabzeichen.... that`s a lot of stock.
Pretty clear, however, that some makers were doing kinda what they wanted.
 
Yep, it is difficult to know exactly what they meant but as you say, seems clear that there was some cowboying going on with certain manufacturers :)
