Thanks very much Lauri... yes, it looks exactly the same as your picture of the Frauenarbeitsdienst badge... This is interesting for me as I have never seen a BDM wearing one of these before... do you know if it was a common thing for the BDM to work along side of the RAD, or to belong to both? And just one last question... what does the 'wJ' in RADwJ stand for?

RADwJ ('wJ = 'Weiblicher Jugend', female youth) was the woman's section of the RAD, a six months service for the girls from 18 years. It's uncommon to see a RADwJ badge over a BDM uniform. Maybe this girl was at the beginning of his service ? or after when she's return to the BDM ?

Thanks so much for this interesting information Lauri... I didn't know about this at all... something for me to research a bit more. That would certainly explain the badge on the BDM girl in my original photo... thanks again for your help :thumb:
