For a few years I went off collecting combat awards due to the high quality reproductions that were flooding the market and of course before the internet there was only word of mouth and other individual opinions as to whether a badge was good or bad. So I did the next best thing and started collecting tinnies to feed my need.
I have popped a few below that I am now sorting through:
First up is a common 1935 fibre badge but I cannot make out the label on the pin? It must be a makers logo and number.

Next a bog standard 1938 badge and Jugendfest 1936 (I found 3 of these amongst my collection)

Next a couple of Wettkampf badges for 1934 and 1935.
These are nice quality metal with makers names on the back. Reichsverband Pforzheim and the good old Hoffstatter Bonn.

Reichssportwettkampf HJ 1939. 5. Kampfspiele der Nordsee HJ 18-21 Aug

The 1939 sport badge in fibre...I think every tinnie collector must have at least one of these and a nice looking plastic badge from the Nordsee HJ

This one is stamped on the reverse Steinhauer and Luck, Ludenscheid.

Zeltlager 1937 Gebiet 13 Hessen-Nassau. I always thought this Zeltlager for 1937 was unusual.
It appears to be made out of Bakelite or similar hard plastic.

Hi Saracen,

I especially :thumb: the following 3 badges;
274 sword form for "tag des jugend haltung" 1934 (if I read correctly)
the "backelite Zeltlager badge for "Gebiet 13" one I've encountered in the past and just missed out with the bidding. :cursing:
and last but least the DJ badge.

It is a very nice start for building up your collection.

Thx for sharing your treasure.

Nice. The Detmold sword tinnie would have been ordered from here :thumb:

Some of the very early members of hj-research might remember that pic being on the page that they saw just before the forum opened back in June 2009 :)

Thanks wizardelf,
your comments are appreciated.
I think my tinnie collecting days are over for the moment I am in to collecting whole vet collections (when they are availabkle) rather than odd badges.
Saying that some of the collections do come with a few odd tinnies in them.

The little bundle that I show on the thread are just some odd Jugend related badges that are left from my large collection.

Going through my register of purchases there are others and when I get time I will pop them on a new thread.

All the best
Doug

That link is perfect Garry, thanks for taking the time to post it.
It does add a lot more interest to the badge.

All the best
