It makes perfect sense for manufacturers to have put the award serial number on the replacements doesn't it and I wonder why they didn't all do that prior to 1940 when the serial number was discontinued on the "B" badges. Interesting badge though. It has the safety catch plus the B plus the serial number so theoretically a badge that was ordered in 1939. However, it could be earlier if this was the same type of catch mentioned in the 1936 RZM instructions (discussed here)

Edzackery, between 36-40, BUT........... why do almost all Deumer B-replacemnet badges have no number? are these all made after 1940 :001_unsure: LOL. There are also B-versions known with numbers from M1/52, M1/78 and M1/49 - and if you want to include the RZM 15 from yesterday as well, then all makers (Except M1/70 which are controversial with collectors anyway) - But not many of them. As far as this numbered Deumer B-stück goes, i have asked a few collectors and nobody has seen one before, all they know are the unnnumbered B-stücke from Deumer.

The next anomaly with B-marked Deumer badges are the attachments, which as you know date from 36, BUT, many unnumbered B-stücke from Deumer (made after it was allowed to have no number on them) show a poxy normal attachment....
Still loads to clear up here - for those who like to clear up.
