Hello all, My name is Rob and this is my first post here.
I was wondering if there any real marine HJ leader daggers out there?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rob.

Welcome Rob. Hopefully Garry or Wim will be able to check period references and come up with a concrete answer. I don't believe there was a special MHJ only leadership dagger.

I have not read of a leader dagger worn specifically by Marine-HJ officers. The Nov 1936 order that announced the introduction of the leader dagger makes no distinction in this regard. The sheath material is described as being black. The 1943 dress regulations for Marine-HJ officers also make no reference to a Marine-HJ-specific dagger with blue sheath material.

Thanks for your replies guys.
In the last HH auction there was a gold HJ leader dagger by Eickhorn with a dedication on the blade.
It has a dedication from the NS Marine Gefolgschaft on it. Did anybody see that one?
Regards,
Rob.

I agree with Garry. I have not seen any note to a Marine-HJ leaders dagger.
But there is always a but, as also a special brocade for naval HJ is mentioned
in the Reichsbefehl.

About HH I can only say: do not believe all they offer to be original.
I noted them for some item, but they sticked to their opinion it was okay!
No, it was not!!
I wonder what will happen when HH and Weitze will combine their efforts
in the course of 2016.

There's one picture where you see von Schirach wearing a HJ leader where the eyelet for the hanger is in another position then normally. Don't know if it's in gold color though.

HH also sells fake stuff, and I think that that's very bad for our hobby.
