Question Early Hitler Youth knife by Gebr. Lutzenkirchen with Red Stripe & Torch on Scabbard

We recently acquired this dagger. Can someone explain the red stripe and torch on the scabbard? Is this original or added by the original recipient?

Any info you can provide us would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

No idea what the red stripe signifies. I guess the torch could relate to the olympics. I don't think anyone could say with certainty when these were applied, but they do look to have been there for a long time.

The Lutzenkirchen maker mark is one of the better looking marks in my opinion and not seen that often.

Can you show a close-up of it? Are the motto and diamond intact? A few more pics would be great.

    Regards

    Russ

Nice, well used early knife. Still has the hint of a motto. Love the maker mark!

Interestingly, they only made an early HJ. No RZM contract.

    Thanks for the extra pics.

    Regards

    Russ
