Hi guys

Enclosed a pic of a producer mark, of which I do not know the producers name. It is pictured in Johnsons book "Collecting the Edged...." vol. 5, page 238 as an "Uncommon Proofmarks 1933-45", but no name mentioned.

Do any of you hav a name on this mark:

And a second question: below pic is of a well known producer (M7/6), but I have not seen the 90 degrees rotated RZM-mark before, have any of you seen that before ?

I hope to hear from you guys (and excuse that the pics are not of the best quality)

Hi Falco

THANKS, you are :first:

That was 100% answer to my questions. This is one (but only one) of the reasons to be a member of this forum :yo:

Hi guys

Yesterday afternoon I bought the 2 knives from post 1 to my collection.

The first one is an early type, and in unissued condition, unfortunately with a little "shadows" on the blade, but I like it very much

The second one is a late type, not in unissued condition, but still nice condition.

Falco, I must say again, that I really appreciate your help with the markers mark.

I like both of them, but the early one is exceptionally good-looking. Congrats!

Darin and Eliko, thanks for the nice words, but I have to let it go - the early one in unissued condition - I had to buy both, the seller would only sell both in one deal. And is was the one without motto i needed for my collection.

The early one is a double, as I all ready have 2 early unissued HJ-knifes, which I have shown on this forum
in following posts:

So guys, I think that the next time you will see it, is on Klaus B. auktion

So sorry to know that, mkholst, but after having a look at the link to the unissued knives you have I don't feel sorry for you anymore. They are absolutely... breathtaking.
