Hi Folks,

As promised in an earlier thread here is my newest acquisition.
This is an HJ transitional Klaas RZM M7/37 from the year 1936 with on the obverse of the blade a motto present.
The blade shows no signs of sharpening and as result the original form of the blade has been maintained.
the motto and maker mark are very nicely etched and still dark.
The leather buffer pad is present and in good shape.
The scabbard is of the anodized type but on the surface of the sides a little surfacerust has installed.
The leather of the scabbard is a bit worn but remains still intact and the button works.
The black grip plates are in good shape and held tightly in place with two rivets.
The diamond inlay wiggles, but sadly the enamel has suffered a bit.

I've included a few pics for you to enjoy, as usual any comment is welcome.

THESE DOUBLE STAMPED TRANSITIONAL KNIVES WHETHER HJ OR SS ARE ALWAYS THE ONES TO LOOK FOR NICE CATCH :canada1

Hi Paul,
Thx I have the same point of view.
One of the reasons I decided to start to collect these, is because of the fact that there is a lot to see on the blade (obverse and reverse side) and with the variety of manufacturers this can deliver a nice collection to enjoy in a couple of years.

Nice one Mike.

It's not often you see these early stretch grip plates on a knife with a ricasso - to me that makes it a little more special!
