superb condition too....why do all the blades have the vertical lines through them even the fakes
 
Thats the Cross grain, nice cross grain = more desirable (to most), usually a selling point, shows its not buffed and polished. I believe i remember reading that it was actually not supposed to remain during the production process or was frowned apon they used to polish it out or something similar and today they go crazy for it
