Hi! guys.
Im new on this forum and could use some help.
Got this 3 daggers from a trade and he claims that they are genuine?
The makers are:
E&F Hörster
P Lungstrasse
Unmarked
One scabbard is made in aluminium?
Where there made scabard both in steel and aluminium during ww2?
I hope the photos are good enough.
Best regards:
Michael

Hi Michael, welcome along.

The pics are not great but from what I can see in your first pic, the top knife is an original, early, no-ricasso knife by Lungstrass - no problems, just missing the buffer.

Not liking the diamond on the second one in the first pic, but suspect the Horster blade is original - better pics needed of the diamond, front and reverse rivets, and the maker mark.

The third one, un-marked, has damage to the obverse rivets - could be a mix of original and repro parts, again better pics same as above would be good.

The aluminium scabbard is not TR period original, the steel one is.

Russ
