Just taken this in part trade.

Late war, 2 scabbard runners, nice LFS stamp on hanger, blade appears unmarked, still with nice shape and the diamond is perfect. cracking to the grips but they remain complete and inplace, rivets all clean.

I actually really like it, certainly got character, much better in the hand than the poor photos

So the "Blut und Ehre!" engraving was not put on all daggers.
What was the distinction between those with and those without the engraving; was it simply a matter of price?
 
time of manufacture Heinrich, Early daggers had the motto, it was then removed from the daggers produced after 1938. So the later ones are without it

Might have been removed to save some pfennigs :lol:
