Hey guys,

This is the first HJ knife I have ever owned. It is a nice worn early model I picked up from Paul at LakeSideTrader. What attracted me to it was the actually the button of all things. The diamond has a small crack and the motto is gone, but it will always be my favorite, even though I've had many of these since then. I remember the first time I held it in hand I was surprised at how small it was. These things always looked bigger in the pictures. I think HJ knives are some of the most interesting pieces of WWII militaria, everybody should own at least one.

Regards,
Corey

The maker is J.A. Henckels. The diamond is cracked, but doesn't appear to have been repaired.

The first one is always memorable, no matter what the condition is - nice example of a well used knife.

Hello, as a new member, I thought I would use this opportunity for my first posting. Here are photos of my one and only
HJ knife which is a Henckels I thought you might like it for comparison. i like your snap button on the strap better than mine. Your knife is very nice!

Thanks guys.
Brad, for some reason I can't see your photos. It may just be my connection.

The photos were there initially, but yes, now they're gone. I don't know why. Let me try this again!

Wow that's a super nice transitional. It has the motto, makers make, rzm and the works.

i've always been a great fan of J.A. Henckels. I also have a Henckels SA Dagger in my small collection.
