I would be grateful for opinions on this knife by Hans Julius Krebs. The blade seems to be in exceptionally good condition when compared with the rest of the knife.
I attach some pics.
Thanks,
Peter

The blade has been buffed to death Peter, it is indeed, a dead knife. The best feature is the scabbard.

Thanks Russ,
The blade certainly has a “New” look to it. I do sometimes buff old penknives up slightly, but generally fail to get the kind of finish that is on this blade. Usually I leave some telltale marks that makes it obvious that the blade has been buffed up. Because I couldn’t see such marks on this blade I was not quite sure. Of course that is probably because I am not very accomplished at it!
I am a bit puzzled why this, what I assume is a late war knife, is not dated.
Thanks,
Peter

I have just discovered that the correct name of the maker is Carl Julius Krebs.
