wonderful group of knives !!!! (GREEN EYES ):crying:
At the time (some 70 years ago,) we did not even look at RZM or other markings, and i seem to rember that some sheaths were metal, but others leatherlike.
The only thing I SEEM to remember about mine is that it had "herder" or so, and "Solingen". engraved. And the Blut und Ehre also was sllghtly different.
The question arises in my old mind: How does one become an expert in recognizing fakes from reals. ( barring stupid things as chrome blades, block letters etc.) Also which was the correct length of the blade ?
some offered for sale nowadays state "7"inches, and others "6.5" inches.
