231.-€ for one photo on ibay

I cannot fathom why this photo went for soooooooo much ! Unless ...the this is a rare photo of Peter Granninger an associate of Ernst Rohm .

I would not pay nothing for that photo... Nothing interesting on him, not even his femenine pose.

You know one just does not want to say it but I bet the kid had some issues with his other Bann members. The picture looks so out of the norm it looks to be set up or posed almost like someone making fun of the HJ. Who knows I am just an old fart.

It is the most home-erotic pose I have ever seen from a HJ member. Also, the extra tight waist is no accident with the house plants for decoration. There is a story behind this picture.

I am not sure that this should be my first post on this forum, but hello to all!

I may be pointing out an elephant in the room, but a number of gay and bisexual men find young German men in Nazi uniforms to be sexually arousing. This is a very androgynous boy in a suggestive pose (IMHO). His parents probably thought the same thing you all are thinking -- this kid was simply being photographed for the family album, not to get an adult man's rocks off but -- it is what it is.

BTW -- photo of the same young man/older boy in HJ uniform sold yesterday for a respectable 28.50 euros.

Hi Robert,

Yes, I get annoyed some times when I see these youth photos with "naked", "gay" etc tagged into the item description. It is bizarre to think that while we look at the uniform details, badges etc that someone else is, I don't know, looking at his legs or something. The photo Alois posted is very strange though.

LOL!!! I assume you have noticed the price discrepancies in HJ photos too, Trommler!

Yes it is an unusual photo as far as the pose is concerned, but I would agree with you all. There is no other unusual historical characteristic to these pics. When photos like this go through the roof on ebay Germany, I am 99% sure that there was a bidding war between collectors who may be incidentally interested in the history of the photo, but more so because it pushed some buttons within them. Whether its a photo of a beautiful woman -- or a beautiful man -- the old adage seems to be true: long, toned legs sell. :001_rolleyes:

hehe Yep, very odd to see "gay" and "naked" in the item description of a HJ photo. Reminds me of a quote I saw on some news website: "if it exists, there's porn of it".

Well, there was one site i found that sells a healthy mix of both Militaria and Porn, so not uncommon!

Can you be sure this is the same young fellow, Robert? His clothes are completely different although it is the same house. I must add, however, that I am among the estimated 2.5% of the population with a prosopagnosia condition (face blindness) so I cannot trust my own eyes, especially trying to compare small old photos.

Its the same kid, Heinrich. He looks a little older, but unless he had a look-alike brother, I am certain that that Mom or Dad simply took a photo in front of the window.

BTW --
I tried to find history on Nazi fetishism. It actually is pretty interesting, and it isfound in both straight and gay subculture. Years ago, when I originally went looking for obscure films of the Third Reich, I found copies at the Pasadena College flea market that had been made by writer and director Kenneth Anger out of his library. Mr. Anger has a long history with S&M and Nazi fetishism (among many other interesting facts about his colorful life.). So -- At the end of a grainy copy of Hitlerjugend Quex, I was treated to a BDSM video with a guy being pierced in the area where you NEVER want anyone with something sharp beside it. LOL!!

I did find some other sites that touch upon fetishism, either explicitsexual fetishism, or incorporation of Nazi iconography as part of fashionstatements. It's an interesting contrast to the purely historical study of this dramatic time period. Here are some websites that you all might find interesting (and no, there are no naughty pics).
