Hello,

I received this photo some months ago.
I bought it because it is a DJ member who wears the triangle "RJF-Stab" and this kind of photo is not usual.
I do not know what was his rank. I think that this photo will interest some of you.

Best regards :yo:

Great photo Eric. The lanyard indicates that he is a DJ-Stammführer. Tradition stripe and second pattern DJ membership badge being worn as a tradition badge. Very nice :thumb:

I'm wondering whether the HJ membership badge might actually be an HJ honour badge? If so, he's got all of the available insignia to show early membership on his uniform at the same time :)

Thank you very much for the information Garry. I especially love the details of badges worn. This magnificent photo was still in its cardboard protection.

Great photo with an even more interesting detail:
the triangle is not a woven form, but seems to be an embroidered one
and so must be quite early! Look at the lettering, especially for the "R",
"J" and "F"......

Garry: I think you're right and it is a honour badge/ Look at the wider edge!

Hello Wim,

Here are several expansions of the photo. I see two things:
- The triangle is not embroidered but woven.
- The badge is a honour badge as Garry said.

Best regards

Eric

interesting do you remember my embroidered NPEA HEMBROL:canada1

Hello Paul,

I still remember your beautiful triangle " NPEA Oranienstein".
Regarding the embroidered triangles, we don't have clear evidence because we don't have proof by picture.
I added an early " RJF" embroidered triangle, just for you.....LOL. I don't know if this triangle is an original...!!!

Best regards

Eric

It is always a pleasure to have your opinion. Your experience is very helpful.
I guess you would like to have a scan for your next book?

ERIC I do like yours has all the traits of a hand one same as the BDM BREAST insig:canada1

the embroidered triangle that I showed is a mystery to me.
Last year, a well-known militaria dealer proposed it to me but I did not buy it because of the negative comments given.
I think I was very influenced and I regret it now. Mostly I was afraid of wasting money.
