Here's an interesting DJ - BDM group photo.

Photographer: Photo Hoffmann, Völklingen-Saar (1934?)

Note all the different uniforms, caps and other details.

Yea ...... like..... I want your Seiger badge ....give it to me !

Why do you think these strange assortments occur? It makes me think of a group pic of girls that I have in my collection. Would it be lack of funds or something else? The NSDAP seems too "anal" to let things get random like that.

Looks like it could possibly be a school-class photo? Some in uniform, some part-uniform, and others waiting for theirs to arrive or not having joined up yet... a couple of teachers at the back. I seem to have seen a few photos like this... in fact, I'm old enough to remember days like this at my own school, back in the early 50s in the UK, everyone wore their uniforms, or parts of them, on special days to school.. (I'm also old enough not to be able to remember what those special days were exactly... !) cubs, scouts, lifeboys, brownies, girlguides, etc. a mix-up of all sorts posing for a group photo on a summer's day...
