Great photo , These boys had bragging rights in there hometown .

The Kampfabzeichen der Flakartillerie was approved and instituted by Göring 10 January. The regulations were changed several times, and from 13 August 1943 the badge could be awarded to Luftwaffen-Helfer (Flakhelfer) and the Flakwehrmänner der Heimatflak (Members of the Homeland flak defence force). From 6 January 1945 it could be awarded to Flakwaffenhelferinnen and Flakhelferinnen (Helferinnen = female helper).
