    Hello Garry.

Thank you very much for the lesson.

Its a litte bit closer to knowing the history of my grand father.
Now i know for about 95% that he was by the HJ flieger.

I have another question If he was a apprentices would he have a uniform like the one hese wearing on the photograpf ?

So what did the flieger HJ exactly do there, traing for flying an aroplane
or was it somthing else ?

Please forgive me asking all these questions but on this topic i know nothing at all.

There's some quite good general information about the Flieger-HJ on this page:

    Axis History Factbook: Hitlerjugend: HJ-Flieger

I have many photos of Flieger-HJ building airplanemodels, training in gliders and parachutetraining. You can see some of them in the Photos and posters Forum. Photographs and posters -

Terrific stuff. Hope you don't mind, I gave my photoshop a shot with the photo to try and fix the tears. No doubt this didn't open up a new career for me, but it gives everyone a good idea of what he looked like. Again, I hope you don't mind. Thanks for sharing his story!
