Hi all,

I am new to the forum - a little about my interest here - my Grandfather was a HJ and also Jungvolk leader in the 1930s in Ludwigsburg (near Stuttgart) and I am researching his history - I would be very interested to know what resources are out there, archives etc that may have files or diary accounts etc of the HJ in his area.

He went on to serve with the Totenkopf Division from 1939 until his death in Russia in 1942 - I am also researching this period.

I will explore the forum but in the meantime here's a picture of his HJ Führerausweis and one in (I believe) winter Jungvolk uniform.

Alles gute,
Fredl

I trust Fredl made progress with research. It is good to see the mention of Ludwigsburg because it makes the lives in the pictures more accessible. This is the stuff of history.
