When I first saw this photo, with the twinkle in the eyes, the spiky hair and the subtle smile, I came to think of the American child actor Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer.

There is a resemblance

He does look like Alfalfa a little bit. Interesting story behind the death of Switzer. He was apparently shot in the groin (ouch!) after attacking a man with a knife in a dispute over a $50 reward for a lost hunting dog and bled to death from the gunshot wound.
