Never thought about this before. But of course there were a postoffice at the large camps.

Text on signs:

Postamt --> Post office
Eingang --> Entrance
Postwertzeichen --> Postage stamps
Ferngespräche --> Long distance phone calls
Telegramme --> Telegrams

Yes, we do not often give carefull thoughts about services that existed at camps. One does
not find very often photographs from such a thing like a post-office. And so these photographs
from Henrik are rare and give us a view of what happened at such a camp with mail to parents
or whatever (for example a shoemaker)!

In one of my books I showed a photograph from a walking mailbox (not HJ, but
what the heck, but I am sure you guys would like to see this). The person carrying the box is
from the NSKK and serves for the moving post-office at very large camps as the anual Party Days.
The box mentions it is emptied every hour from nine o'clock in the morning until seven in the evening.

There was a much better shot which showed the whole hut but the set was sold a couple of years ago unfortunately. I might have a copy on my hard drive somewhere and will post it if I find it.
