Hello

I received today a lot of photos who's depict boys in Wehrmacht Heer uniforms but with the HJ armband.
Someone have an idea concerning the status of these young men? Recruits or trainees in a preparatory army school?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Lauri,

These boys will be aged 16 to 18 and are completing their 4-week pre-military training course concentrating on shooting and field training (Vormilitärische Ausbildung - Wehrertüchtigung) with the WH. This training resulted in the award of the 'K-Schein' (Kriegsausbildungsschein). The programme was introduced in 1939.
