Attached is a map showing how the Hochland Lager 1934 was laid out. If you have Google Earth type in Aidling. This is at the top of the map. Have a look around and follow the tracks :)

Alternatively Google Maps will do the same job if you don't have Google Earth.

Once I get them scanned in I'll add some period pics of some of the locations shown on the map.

Thanks for showing gentleman. It is not that far from Munich. It is a really lovely area and the lakes besides are just brilliant!! Well recommended for walkings and finding great biergarten!!!

Apart from that, that particular saying is quite famous: "We are born to die for Germany". In the book "Youth led by Youth" vol.1 , tells about a modification that Henriette von Schirach did in that particular slogan in the Koenigsdorf camp, she altered just one word: "We are born to live for Germany".

Thanks once again Garry.

Regards

Antonio

Fantastic photos Garry!:001_cool:

What are the two triangles with the star-like symbols either side of the camp gate?

As mentioned before, catering was centralised. Food was moved in trucks out to the Oberbann locations and was then transported out to the individual units. This pic shows a the barrow (left of pic) used by this group to bring the food back to their area:
