It shows the questions that were asked in the test in 1939. These here are the ones for (black)smiths:
Front (Class 3)
A. Write an essay on what you have to beware of while working with a drill.
B. Drawings to be done according to an extra sheet. (not given)
C. Several questions eg. about horse shoes, reasons for rust on steel, etc.
D. Rather mathmatical questions about belt pulleys in differnet diameters and how often one would turn, if... etc.
Back (Class 4)
A. Write an essay on gaswelding
B. Drawings to be done according to an extra sheet. (not given)
C. Several questions eg. major features of cast iron, something about horse shoes again, etc.
D. Rather mathmatical questions about engeneering mechanics, lever, fulcrum, physics, mass density... etc.
Not that I could answer more than one or two of these ...
I would have never made it to be a "Kreissieger"
