I found about 70 - 80 from these "Volksgasmaske" in my former little homevillage. 70 years under the roof of the historical schoolhouse, firebrigade-station, Kindergarten until 1945 etc. Untouched, covered with dust und dirt. Mainly destroyed by summer heat and winter frost. 8 of these are still in good condition and function, Reichsadler and several tags are visible. I picked up a probable BDM-photo from ebay showing a fire-fight training. It gives a funny carnival impression. So I think these Volksgasmasken belong to our HJ-interest too. It would be nice to see other gasmask pictures using from HJ members.
