Hi to all:001_smile:,
I would like your opinion about these buttons currently on sold on ebay.
Are they from ww2-era? Because I know a lot of these buttons were made after the war for a long time.
These buttons are marked "GES. GESCH." ; so it could be a clue to distinguish them from those made after the war? Could this type of mark be a good clue?
Hoping to hear from you
Best

Hello Cédric,

Certainly old but not exactly the form of the buttons I have on my greatcoat. They are more rounded on top and marked HJ*15. I you want to restore a mantel (or a dienstrock) try to find models well round on top, at the good size with metallic or leather attache. Hope I have helped you.

As requested, a better view of the HJ marking.
