I found this photo on ebay a while ago , Can anyone guess why a BDM Girl is the flag bearer for the Jungvolk ?

My guess is that maybe her brother was the former flag bearer of his Jungvolk unit and had died somehow or had been killed in the war , She had the honor of leading her brothers unit at the memorial cermony . " JUST A GUESS " it would make since to me .

Here is the uncropped photo , taken from the negative .

Interesting that the second DJ flag seems to have fringe around it .

Hello,

The girl is the pennant bearer of her unit... and behind her (one step higher) is a boy who is the bearer of a DJ flag. IMHO

Best regards

Hello Debertex,

you are right. The black for her pennant does not attract to the black of the DJ flag.
You see she is holding a light colored pole. I think various flags for the area are lined
up on the back during the speech from the political leader.
The frings you see are from a flag in the background, which possibly is SA.

I agree , I zoomed it up by 200% and now can see the outline of her JM flag .
Thanks DEBERTEX and W. SARIS
