That canton panel is odd looking to say the least. I've never seen a DJ Fahnlienfahne with a canton panel like that before. The sewing on the numerals is odd looking to me as well. Granted, I've not seen everything by any means but this fahne is very odd looking to me. The pole topper looks like it might be okay but better pics of that would be needed for sure.

I don't know if this DJ flag is ok but I'm sure this is not a Fähnleinfahne but an early Jungbannfahne.I have the feeling that the canton panel was later added.
Please see the book "Youth led by youth" of Philip Baker.

The Embordery on corner panel are non-chain stitched....... but very well made and stitched very strait!

The early flags were always made in a strange way and I am not surprised.

in Dithmarschen um 1936 aus schwarzen Fahnenleinen mit beidseitig aufgenähter weißer Sig-Rune und ockerfarbenen Spiegeln mit schwarzer Plattstickerei "1/84" und rot-weißer Kordeleinfassung. Weiße Größen- und DRGM-RZM-Stempelung "200 x 220". Leicht ausgeblichen mit nichtstörenden, kleinen Reparaturstellen, einer der fünf Befestigungsringe fehlt. Zweiteiliger schwarzer Holzschaft. Aluminiumspitze in Bajonettform mit Stempelung "RZM M3/40/41". Gesamtlänge ca. 295 cm.
Seltene frühe Fahne.
