Hi,

It's not an organisational DJ flag in the sense that, for example, a Fähnlein flag is so the question is: what would it have been used for? Possibly a tented camp? I am unaware of a TR flag factory in Straubing by the name of Otto Baier but here is an ongoing project listing flag makers. They don't seem to have him yet either though:

who made the flags ??? - Page 25 - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums

Sorry I can't be more helpful but this is an item that won't appear in any regulations so the way forward is research into the manufacturer. Just out of interest, what are the dimensions of the flag?

I have a small one sided sun wheel swastika banner by that maker. It all looks good but the white center does glow under a black light. I wonder if yourswill too?

That is trying to be a Danish Schalburg Corps (SS volunteer) flag, I am not a flag expert but I doubt that it is a good one JMHO. If it is a good one it is a scarce one to be sure.

Thanks Michael. I too have doubts about the flag but I'm also unsure if "its trying to be a Danish Schalburg flag". The Germans used the sun wheel quite often and it was the symbol of the Thule society which was a breeding grown for many early Nazis.

In the pictures, the flag looks good and I think it is a flag of the time.
In pictures, however, this is not 100% to recognize. Such a flag must be in the hand to make better provisions.
