Thank you for your help. JME

The pennant looks okay. I'd just guess it's a bike pennant or something from the size. The rooster or chicken looks like a WHW token or something. Probably just attached to the pennant by someone. I searched the WHW database on WTG forum but could not find a bird like that one.

perhaps they were chicken farmers :001_smile:
but original bike pennant

you still have you humor "Der Mann aus der Schweiz"!!

So, KFC (Kücken Fussball-Club) was not an invention from the US,
but from Germany? As was the hamburger also from Germany and
what they like to call "cookies" in the US are simple "koekies" from
the Netherlands. Just as Snoopy, the dog, which got his name also
from the Netherlands (snoepie). And look for all those Dutch names
in the Big Apple!!

Hi Wim, ja as always.. sometimes the humor is a bit on the dark side.. I will go into the oven with a wry smile on my face.:pound:
Nice to see you are finally posting here, i am sure that many will be delighted, and many questions can be cleared up with a few facts.

i think the pennant was for display,i have one the same as yours in my collection,if you checkout hitlers 50th birthday postcard, the one with the young child presenting hitler with flowers, you will see the pennant on display,i doubt it was for a bike as its to long,it may have also been tied to the front grill of a car.

see photo post 4 where a pennant is onto the car!
Early types as used by HJ, DJ, BDM and JM for a car were having a length of
36.0 cm and the widest edge being 21.0 cm. The Reichsjugendführer was
noted to have a bigger one: 80.0 cm in length and at the widest 35.0 cm.
It is known that also other HJ leaders did use this larger version until new car
pennants were introduced in later years.
