26 years ago , I held in my hands the HJ Bannfahne for "Österreich" it had a green scroll . At the time , I had little money and could not afford the 800 US dollars to buy it .

I still know the man who sold it , he no longer collects but he may have a photo of it .

Hello Joe,
I understand what you mean. I didn't have necessary money when it was put on sale. I had no intelligence to buy it a few year ago in Europe as well and I regret it bitterly . Now, I am not willing to spend $ 6000 for this one......!:h

on Ratisbon's auction website, a "579" Jungbann flag to sell; all the set of the Jungbannführer of bann 579 appears in Austria; may be they will give green light to save pictures of the flag for the forum!
