Hello

Less known and popular than the teufelsmütze, this cap (not my property) was certainly worn during a short time. If anyone has references about it he is welcome !

very interesting piece Lauri, thanks for sharing. I don't have documentation or reference but I am pretty sure I saw period pics and I may have some in collection too. I'll have a look.

Regulations according to Angolia, The HJ:

10 August 1933:
Summer (15 April - 14 October) and winter (15 October-14 April): Black beret (Baskenmütze)

23 October 1936:
Winter: BDM-Cap (BDM-Mütze)
'Robin Hood' style. Replaced the beret.

22 July 1938:
Winter: Cap for Jungmädel (JM)
'Teufelsmütze'. Also considered to be a ski cap as well.

.

Very nice find, i serched for many years for an example but had no luck, great addition to the collection. Pete.:001_smile:

Thank you Ewan:yo: Do you have a picture of the Jugendmutze who was on Mili321?

morning Lauri, sadly i did not save the pictures as there was only 2 it was being sold with an nskk shirt, i messaged the seller to see if he would split them up, he was asking 250E i think it was a good piece, the tag also looked good!

i cannot find the sellers email again!

I do have many photographs of the beret in wear, but cannot show them as I am still
hoping to get done the chapters about HY for the series "Headgear of Hitler's Germany".
Have no idea if it ever will come to this! We are behind scedules for about ten years.

I also do have the brown beret, which is early and came before the darker, segmented
beret. This cap I also have photographed with the inner RZM-tag. All material was handed
over by the owner for use in the above mentioned book only. Sorry!

First will come volume 6, which is handled by mr. Bender and will
be ready in about 18-24 months. Then will volume volume 7,
which I hope will be ready mid 2018 to be send to the publisher.

Mr. Bender then should agree what comes next, which might be HJ.
I must limit the size of the books, as the publisher does not want
books anymore in the size as the HJ-handbook. The costs for shipping
are much to high for most of the buyers! So, all is up to mr. Bender!
