Hi David

Looking at picture 1 ,i would hazard a guess looking at the banner at an early youth group pre HJ , im sure garry will have more info , not sure on the other pictures ,

cheers steve

The type of cross in use on the pennant is indicative of the evangelical youth. The evangelical youth organisations went over to the HJ on 4.3.1934. Any dates on the photos David?

Hello to all.

Thanks Zander for the swift reply.

@ Garry no date's found on the pics so i am not sure in what year they are taken.

The only things that i know are: In the first pic is my grandfather whit his brother in this pic taken in belgium flanders oost.

The second pic is my grandfathers brother in germany i guess in Krefeld.
Take a look at his belt he is wearing.

And the 3 and 4 pics are taken somewhere in germany but i do not know where, i know that they are reletated in family but not how.
So if some recognize the place please let me know.

Whit many regards david dp.

Interesting. I have a couple of albums from the german Evangelische Wehrschar and one of them contains a photo showing a group of boys formed up beneath a flag which has the evangelical cross as you can see on the pennant in your first photo but with the addition of the belgian lion. The photo is labelled 'B.E.P. Jungvolk' and is dated 1934. I had to Google 'B.E.P.' but only came up with one brief reference to a socialist youth organisation but certainly as far as your photo is concerned it would appear to lend weight to the possibility that your grandfather was a member of an evangelical youth organisation in Belgium.

I can't see the buckle well enough unfortunately.

Thank you Garry for the swift reply and the info that you give me again.

This is getting stranger and stranger to me to find out my grand fathers history but i love it.

But it make's sence there my grand father was in germany in 1943 in Magdeburg.
The step was not as big as i thought from the BEP to HJ.
there's a lot to discover here.

As for the other pics number 4 and 5 nobody has a clue?
Any guesses are welcome.

Many regard david dp.
PS thanks to all forum members here for helping me:thumbup:

Hello to all here.

Its bin a long while that i have posted something sorry for the long abcence.
I have tried to find more of my grand fathers past and his brother and it took me a long time to do this due to the surcumstances (hope i wrigth it correct) that happend.

My grandfather was for sure in the HJ there's no doubt about it know.
I have spoken to my grandmother about it and she told me alot of what happend in de war.

His mother worked in a amunitionfactory here in east flanders in a place called burcht.
The reason he went to HJ is because he dident go to school alot so he came in to trouble ofcours and a way to keep him out was handed by her best friend ho was having un affair with a officer who was in charge there.
So he told my great grandmother that he would take care of it by sending him to a school in germany to study a profession.
What he didnt tell her that he was going to HJ ofcours.
As a mother of 3 kids and alone in that time i can understand that it was good news for her.

So they took him to Gent belgium and from there he went to germany first to hannover then to Braunschweig here is where he got his uniform if the info a have got is correct, and from there he went to Magdeburg Junkers flugzeug und motorewerke AG where he was to the end of the war.

His brother here in that picture in my first postthat was took in the factory where he was working on a voluntary base he went whit un uncle who was already working there.
Tis was in Krefeld i do not no the name of the fatory because the persone doesnt like to talk about the war so much,
But i did get some info about it.
Where he work they made those long jakets like Wachtmantels or the one they used it wintertime.
They also painted the fabric there and there was a machine where the made the paper for the gasplane that the soldiers used.

So if some body knows somthing that could give me some more info regarding my grandfathers whereabouts like a name from the school he went to,
Or the name of the factory in krefeld where they made stuff like this please let me know.
I will verry much appriciated.

Many regards and thanks in advance to all here on this forum.:first:
