Hello All,
this came out of the woodwork recently with a bundle of other armbands.

I am fairly confident that this is a nice late issue band?

All the best
Doug

I like it ...more so that it has an early HJ Rzm tag .

Hi Doug, just curious as to why you say "late issue". As Joe says, the label is the early type and the manufacturer 139 (R. Mönninghof, Wuppertal-Barmen) received his RZM licence in 1934. Could be an earlier multi-part armband?

Hello Crack,
I am not an armband collector but I obtained this piece and several others from a single Vet source: Under is the complete collection.
My assumption (obviously incorrect) was that these were all late war period.
The Deutsche Wehrmacht armband is apparently quite unusual as it is the embroidered eagle and the Deutsche Wehrmacht is printed. These I am led to believe is used when they were running out of the standard armbands?

I looked at the number on the RZM tag and it looked quite high to me ...hence my assumption in thinking it was a late one.

Anyway I am pleased it turns out to be an earlier multi constructed example.

All the best
Doug

Hello members.
I have one very similar to the one in post #1
I have been advised it is a period piece.
Other opinions are welcome because i know not everyone has the same opinions in this hobby.
Cheers
Druid.
