Hi,

That could be a unit designation so if we assume that and also consider the colour of the leather, we must be looking for a HJ unit. 1.1.1937 was the date after which all HJ had to wear black belts* so if we assume that your buckle and belt have always been together, we are looking at the period August 1933 to 31.12.1936 and this leaves us with only one possibility:

(Unterbann) II (Gefolgschaft) 21 (Bann) 153

Pictures of the buckle reverse would be useful too if you have them.


*the regulation announcing that brown belts were to be sanded and then coloured black was dated 6.11.1936
 
Nice rig....Yes: I too would like to see pics of the back of the buckle. Looks like an early nickel version.

Thanks a lot Garry I have learned something new about belt colour and the unit today , here are pics front /reverse as requested, it appears to be a early Berg & Nolte nikel/silver
