Zinc HJ buckle with odd M4 marking

Hey gang.....I just received this buckle - it's a pretty cool HJ buckle that is made in zinc! That was one reason I wanted to add it to the collection - second reason is the odd M4 marking. See how the "M" is raised and somewhat smaller. I thought that was very cool.
Happy to have it added to the collection - thought I'd share some pics!

this is a die struck HJ zinc.. 99% or more of all HJ zinc are made by the injection molding process... these were struck! there are 2 makers known M4/118 and M5/276

How was the belt hook slot added or attached to the stamped buckle ? IAC.
