I think more or less is the same. In the Suedbrandenburg area (to be more precise Spremberg area), but I guess everywhere in Germany, they are called Blutwurst as Garry said. They look like normal sausages and they are cooked boiled. Then you cut the skin and everything goes automatically out looking like mince (more or less).

Beeing honest to you, dont like black pudding nor Blutwurst...
